Mark is the brother of Lynne Laurie, brother in law of life member Don Laurie, and uncle to Ben, David & Cole. Mark played at the very top of our game, playing 137 games for Essendon, Richmond and the Sydney Swans, from 1980 until 1991. He is very open about his mental & drug issues, appearing on Open Mike in June 2015 in a very frank & forth coming interview.
We are very privileged to have Mark come along to our Club and talk about mental illness and drugs. To quote an article from the Herald Sun,
May 28 2016, from Mark Robinson, “His message is not woe me, but help you”. He now does the Corporate speaking circuit with Simon Madden. Mark wants to use his life experiences, and his dealings with mental health issues & drug addiction to help others avoid the pitfalls that he has had in his life.
We encourage everyone to come along and hear Mark’s inspirational words.
